today we are learning how to use microsoft excel. we are learning how to calculate our report card marks and how you the teachers do our marks. excel is a page of rectangular boxes and is used as a scientific calculator. you can add formulas and text. and you can add lines and paragraphs and you can tell it wat to do. for example. you can find the average or sum or the total of your marks.

last time we did some work on a new project also on microsoft word and it was different it was to show us how if you want to write the same letter to different people and you didnt want to type the whole letter again. so , in order to that you will have to go tools and then go to mail mergel. after that a small window will pop up to show you the steps that you have to do in order to make your letter to the people you want. so for the first step you will have to go to the arrow that they show you next to step one and then after that you click on it small list will pop up so you will have to choose the first one which is create form letter(s). and then you will have to clcik on new main document because you still dont have a new one on the microsoft word yet. then you go to step two which is to get the data or data source. so you click on get data. and then you click on any thing that on the list and then save it. after you're down saving it you open the file and then click edit data source and then you write everything you want to put about the person and then if you want add more people just click add new . after that when you start typing you letter instead of writing the person name you go on the top left corner and click on the button mail merge and you insert everything you want in there that you written about or like the information you put in there about the guy. and that all about mail merge

today we were finishing our tutorials and handing them in to the people that were picked to be the editors for the book were are doing on the end of the year. our teacher decided that we are going to write a book on microsoft word and that we are going to publish it at the end of the year . he said that there were problems in the past few years and that people kept messing around and not handing the work in or they were plasurising so the book was never done and published at all so im hoping that we get this book done and succesful and done by the end of the year so we can publish it and that we can show the students that we actually finished the work and show them we wrote a book and our names our on the book.

today we are doing another project on podcast but its going to be partner work. and its me and amna. we are going to make our own podcast and we are going to be doing two podcasts. the first one is about the week we had on buisness technology and what we do in there. and for the second one we do any podacst of our own choice . our podcast is due on the last week of the month before the holidays. for the first podcst we are going to be doing it on computer components. and the other podcast we are going to be doing on.............. we dont know yet but ill keep you posted

Today we are working on the Microsoft word. and people started saying oh we know everything on Microsoft word blah blah. But then when we started to go deeper into Microsoft word and I started to find things that are new like in the customizing section. You could make you own tool bar and you can add stuff to it like the things you use often in Microsoft word. Another thing in the customizing section is that you can add and remove stuff from the toolbars, also when you go to the customizing section again and click on it the first thing that pops up are the two check boxes and if you uncheck the box that says (MENUS SHOWS ONLY MOST RECENTLY COMMADS) that thing is the arrow that shows every time you open the file edit view favorites and tools columns its gets rid of the arrow and it shows the whole menu instead of half of you. The fourth thing I didn’t know is that if you look at the top where the toolbar and find the email button and then and click on it, the exact same pops up just like when you go to hotmail and start writing. The fifth thing I didn’t know is how to make an outside border if you go to the toolbar on top and click on the shape that looks like the window, a little box pops up. The six things I never knew are how to make aligned text. When you type on the tope there are a bunch of numbers and then there is the thing that looks like a sand timer. That thing makes you start typing from the position right under the sand timer. The seventh thing I didn’t know is that on the toolbar there is that question mark. That? Mark helps you with anything you’re stuck in or if you don’t know anything about Microsoft word. The eighth thing I found in Microsoft word is that you can leave a comment on after you are done typing your document. If you go to the toolbar on top and click on the insert button you will find the word comments and then when you click on it a small box appears on the bottom and there you can leave your comment and you can and after you’re done and look at the highlighted words, that will tell you the name of the person that recommended that word or sentence. The ninth thing that I found and never knew about was the buttons on the left bottom corner. There are four buttons on there that actually makes you write your document in any form. The first button makes you start writing from the left corner. The second button makes you write a whole long sentence without going into the other line an makes you write all the way long until the line ends and move onto the other side. The tenth thing I didn’t know was that you can write in full screen with out the tools and every other thing showing and it just leaves the page and your writing unless you want to go back to normal screen then you jus click on the word the says close full screen and then you back to normal

In the last week or two we had to find a pod cast on anything that your interested in. again a pod cast is anything that you can hear not see and is posted or broadcasted into websites. I found my pod cast on this website www.podcast.net. So as you can see I did it on the movie reviews. When I opened it a whole list of movie reviews and people discussing they’re opinions on movies and stuff. So I did mine on movies for nobodies it’s technically ad group of people talking about the movies that are coming out and that are out already. They have 29 episodes now and that’s about it.

today we had a test on the power point on and on everything that we did about it. it took us about 30 minutes to finish it because there was some diagram in there that we had to look at and write down the ones that were labeled.
And also we got our presentation checked on the one that we did on the websites that we had to group on one slide show

I finished my assignments/ projects today. My first project was on a celebrity called Beyonce and actually this time the slideshows are the on that are important, not you. I put in four slides that includes a main page, pictures, biography and a video of her newest video song irreplaceable. For my second project its not actually a slideshow, its actually only one slide that has all the website icon/logo pictures of all the websites that I mostly go to and visit. I have to copy the picture and the hyperlink it in a way that when I click on the picture or icon it will go to the website that its suppose to go. For example if I click on the icon google it will go to the website google. So pretty much that’s what I did for my presentation

today we are doing powerpoint again except for that this time the most important thing in the presentaion is not you its the slides or presentations that you're doing. i also learnt that when you're going up to do you presentation and you dont want anybody to see the work your doing just click the button B and the screen will be blank until you press the mouse and then the presentation slide show will come on. for today we will be doing a presnetation on something of your own. it could be about a fairy tale or animation or what ever you want it to be, as long as you make it look good . the key to this presentation is that you mess with the tools in the powerpoint so that you can get to know what are they and what do they do.

today we learnt more about the powerpoint and how they could be a work of garbage and how people use the special sound effects and how the kill the presentation that your doing and why you shouldnt use it if you want you work to look professional and not those ones that make your presentaion look like you made it in an half an our. we also learnt on how you can make yor slides to pop up more cool and not those ones that are dumb and used to make people amusing because what we learnt that the most important thing in a presentation is you the power presentations are just to implify what you talking.
the last thing we learnt is how not to set you slide show presentaion on automatic because then the slide that might pop up might not be about what you're talking about, and that you shoudl always you a mouse to just click on the button and the slide wil pop up and the you take a quick glimpse of it and the start talking about whatever is on the screen / slide.

last week we were suppose to make a 4 slide presentation on any brand or logo of you choice i picked the logo/ brand adidas. i talked about the history and the people who made it and how the buisness was carried on by the family and about how the logo was made and was it introduced into the world. and i think i got a b or a c but i just hope i got an a cuz i really spent my whole night working on the research.

today we learnt about how powerpoints can be boring and you cant wait until you get out of it, so thats why we were talking about it, beacuse there are some presentation that could be 45- 1 hour long and they are boring as hell. so that why you have to learn how to use it.

today we are still working on our project for how to help people to find what kind of computer do they need in order to use. and it depends on whta kind of use do they need for; just like the ones that i got to do . i have to help someone find a copmuter thats for his games and homework and some other 2 people that u have to help its due on october the 13th i havent done squat im panicing here and im just hoping that the teacher will give us an extension

two days ago we got signed for a new assignment. its about you being a buisness guy and helping a certain kind of people to help them find a new computer. we have to pick a computer to use it for what ever kind of reason they want to use it for. so for this assignment i have to be a buisness guy and i have to offer them three kind of computers from the cheapest one to the expensive one and they have to choose which one they want to pick. i have to this for three people and they havwe to pick one out of three.

in the last two class we were studying parts of the copmuter and how they function or work . we learned about the hard disk the floppy disk how a cpu works and i was suprised that it is a lot smaller than i thought it would be. and i also learned about how the memory card is different than the storage and how they differ in sizes. another thing i learned is the inthernet card i jus thought it was conneted to the copmuter but it actually removable.

in the olden days there used to be huge comupters and huge memory cards soundcards very thing used to be huge but now when the years past by there are newer computers are there.
they went from pentium 1->2-> 3-> 4-> to pentium 4d with smaller memory cards and is suitable to fit in your house and has a lot of memory in them.

Hi everybody today we had business class and we learned all about how using the email and we knew some other couple of text messaging services called the g mail and goowy they are like all different kind of email but they have some different stuff in them like for example the g mail when u want to do an attachment you just enter or browse the thing you want to attach but on the other hand for the goowy you have to browse the image and then upload it and then click finish we also learned about what the cc and bcc means. Cc stands for carbon copy it means that u can send the same email to everybody at the same time and everyone will know who you sent the email to. Bcc stands for blind carbon copy which means that u can still send the same email at the same time but the people the you sent the email too will not know who also sent the email too. And that’s pretty much it until next time.
