hey people
in the last two class we were studying parts of the copmuter and how they function or work . we learned about the hard disk the floppy disk how a cpu works and i was suprised that it is a lot smaller than i thought it would be. and i also learned about how the memory card is different than the storage and how they differ in sizes. another thing i learned is the inthernet card i jus thought it was conneted to the copmuter but it actually removable.

in the olden days there used to be huge comupters and huge memory cards soundcards very thing used to be huge but now when the years past by there are newer computers are there.
they went from pentium 1->2-> 3-> 4-> to pentium 4d with smaller memory cards and is suitable to fit in your house and has a lot of memory in them.

hey everybody;
late class we did our presentation on the project we had to do which was based on the graphic/video cards and today's class we were learning about the parts of the computer and how they work. we learned about the pieces of the copmuter and where they are placed in and how they work. we looked at how big or small they are. and how they are several similar slot for your inthernet card and you sound card and some stuff like that.
well until next time

jot notes for the computer project amna and saimon
  • graphic card connects to the computes through the motherboard
  • the motherboard supplies power to the card and lets it communicate with the c.p.u( the central proccessing unit)
  • newer graphic cards often require more power than the mother board can provide, so they also have a direct connection to the computer's power supply
  • connections to the motherboard are usually through one of the three interfaces: 1.(pci) peripheral component interconnect). 2.(agp) advanced graphics port. 3. (pcie) pci express
  • pci is the newest fastest transfer rates between the transfer card and the motherboard.
  • pcie : supports two graphic cards in the same cpomuter
  • some cards have two dvi connectors instead. but that doesnt rule out using a crt screen .
  • most people only use monitor connections.
  • some cards have connections for : tv display: tv out or s- vidoe. 2. analog vidoe cameras: vivo or video in / video out. 3. digital cameras :firewire or usb
  • the top of the line good graphic cards are easy to spot, it has a lot of memory and a fast processors.
  • the end of the line card provides power than most people really need .
  • people who need the power of the high end card include gaming enthuasiats and people who do lots of 3-d graphic work.
  • the frame rate describes how many complete images the ca4rd can sisplay per second. the human eye can process about 25 frames every second, but fast action games require a frame rate at least 60 fps (frames per second), to prvide smooth animation
  • triangles or vertices pr second: 3d images are made of trianglesaor polygons. this measurement describes how quickly ,the gpu can calculate the whole polygons or vertices that define it.
  • pixel fill rate:this measurement describe how many pixels the gpu can process in a second, which translates to how qucikly it can rasterize the image.
  • gpu clock speed (MHz0
  • size of the memory bus(bits)
  • amount of available memory(Mbg)
  • memory clock rate (MHz)
  • memory bandwidth (GB/s)
  • RAMDAC speed(MHz)

Last time when we had buisness tech. We, as in me , Amna and Saimon had our first assingment for parts of the copmuters, our project was based on the video card or graphic card. It looks kind of like this in the picture. Basicly what this exact thing does is that it, its a internal componenet that connects your motherboards. Its usually connected to the motherboard. Thats all for now tell about it more later

Hi everybody today we had business class and we learned all about how using the email and we knew some other couple of text messaging services called the g mail and goowy they are like all different kind of email but they have some different stuff in them like for example the g mail when u want to do an attachment you just enter or browse the thing you want to attach but on the other hand for the goowy you have to browse the image and then upload it and then click finish we also learned about what the cc and bcc means.
Cc stands for carbon copy it means that u can send the same email to everybody at the same time and everyone will know who you sent the email to.
Bcc stands for blind carbon copy which means that u can still send the same email at the same time but the people the you sent the email too will not know who also sent the email too. And that’s pretty much it until next time.
